● Quality assurance policy
  Quality policy: Total quality management, Continuous improvement, Customer satisfaction, Endless innovation.
  YOFC(shanghai) Taken the ISO9001 standard as principle and involved the eight quality management approaches. YOFC shanghai has set up an effective quality management system.
This system has covered the market investigation, project appraisal, contract review, process development, material purchase, production, consignment, customer services etc, which implement completely the new approaches of modern quality management, such as customer focus, process approach, involvement of staffs, system approach to management, and continuous improvement.
  In April of Year 2003, YOFC shanghai passed the audit in accordance with the ISO9001: 2000 standard offered by KEMA, one of the world famous audit firms. At the same time, YOFC(shanghai) received the UL certificates for its indoor optical cables offered by the Underwriters Laboratories Inc. of USA, thus wins international accreditation. However, YOFC(shanghai) always believes that there would be endless in product quality improvement. Therefore, we’ll make improvement continuously, and try our best to satisfy all the requirements requested by customers without limitation.

● Outline of quality management
  Since we put the quality of our products in the first place, Yangtze Optical Fibre and Cable (Shanghai) Company is fully equipped. The producing line now we have was introduced from Finland to continuously produce the first-class optical fiber and cable. Besides, we are also equipped with highly precise testing machine to assure the environment control system works in the certain humidity and temperature, which are the guarantee of the production. In regards of human resource, practical need is the basic principle for us to employ our staff, besides, we also put the sustained development into our consideration so as to find elites who are in line with the strategy of our company: steady development, sustained innovation.
Our company adopts modern structure. The rules and regulations of our company definitely clarify the objects, power limit and responsibilities to every department and people of different levels so as to encourage every employee of our company to participate in the quality construction and to carry out the allround quality supervision.
  ISO9001:2000, the combination of quality supervisions of different times, requires adopting the process method in regards of quality system, which is to improve the overall quality of the enterprise by improving the quality while monitoring the whole process. Therefore, our company adopts the process method, defining 21 processes during the course of the production, which covers market investigation, program evaluation, contract review, raw materials procurement, production, delivery and after-sales service. All these processes are not only involved with the departments in the company, such as contract review, document administration, human resource management, production plan, but also deal with the specific process of producing the optical cable, such as dyeing and so on. The company has set target to every process, defining the measure method and cycle. All of the above are taken to meet the customers ’ needs and to provide feasible measures and proofs to carry out the continuous improvement.
  On the basis of outstanding achievements in quality management and product quality. YOFC(Shanghai) has passed ISO9001:2000 certification and U.S. UL certification successively in 2003.

● Main process control

1.File system
  We ask the requirements to be written down on the paper.The quality papers in our company mainly consist of quality pamphlet, process document, assignment guidebook and quality records. The forms of document and records are set in accordance with the rule which is making it convenient to look up and check.
2.Customers ’ Requirement Evaluation
  The two documents-Customers ’ Requirement Evaluation Program and Contract Performance Program are made to formulize the processess related with the customers, for example, the confirmation, evaluation and the communication with the customers on the requirements about the products. The way of ’accepting order first, evaluating the requirements second ’ is forbidden in our company so as to assure the fulfillment of the contract, meeting the requirements raised by the customers.
3.Purchasing of raw materials
  The Program on the Choice and Evaluation of Suppliers is made to provide detailed rules on choosing and evaluating the suppliers and to make it convenient to practice. At present, the raw materials we adopt are all imported, and even the auxiliary materials are chosen from the famous suppliers in China.
4.Control of testing and producing process
  To assure the quality of the products, the specific rules on the management of testing and producing process are listed in the Producing Process Management Program, Testing Program on the Process of Producing Optical Cables, Final Testing Program on Optical Cables and Type Testing Program on Optical Cables. Our company has also established the type testing laboratory to carry out the experiment on the performance indexes. So far, the type testing has been widely used in the new technology, new products and the validation of the customers ’ requirements.

Quality improvement and after-sale service
1.Quality improvement
  We are equipped with complete monitoring system to have a closely look at the performance in the different cycles dealing with the quality. By making comparison with the fixed target, the improvement in certain process can be made in time. Assisted by other department, the Quality Department is in charge of the the improvement of the products and specifying the relevant program documents such as Correction or Prevention Measure Program and Data Analyse Control Program.
  To evaluate the quality with the comments from the customers is a method Yangtze Optical Fibre and Cable (Shanghai) Company thinks highly of. We have set and performed the Customers ’ Satisfaction Evaluation System by regularly carrying out the overall investigation about the suggestions and advice on the products and service we provide among our clients to orient the quality improvement.

2.After-sale service
  Yangtze Optical Fibre and Cable (Shanghai) Company pays great attention to the after-sale service, treating the customers as our cooperative partnership who share the mutual trust and help with us. We make relevant programs and set detailed measures to assure the fulfillment of after-sale service conducted by the Quality Department. We are equipped with the professional technicians and salesmen to assure the smooth fulfillment of the after-sales serive.
  Dependent on the sale net which covers the whole country, we are able to obtain all kinds of precise feedbacks from our clients on time.
